Task: Pick one of VA Tourism’s sub-brands: food, wine, outdoor, or music,

and create a strategic campaign that will increase tourism in Virginia.

My team created an agency called Turtle Bell.

We chose: VA is for Music Lovers as our sub-brand, but we took a risk...

Our strategy was to target a niche market that could bring more people to VA - the wedding industry.

…it paid off

we won the pitch.

The Brand: Virginia Tourism

The Problem: Over the past few years the tourism industry has suffered and recent events have shown VA in a bad light.

Challenges: The music scene in VA is not yet well-defined.

Target Audience: “Unattached experience seekers” between ages 24 and 35

Our Solution: Celebrate LOVE in Virginia
